Bruce R. Hafner brings to the issues confronting his clients and their families more than 40 years’ experience in the practice of law.  Mr. Hafner was associated with a boutique New York City firm concentrating in trade regulation issues before state and federal agencies and litigation, primarily in the federal district courts.

After relocating to Long Island, Mr. Hafner has practiced law, first in his own Melville, NY office and then, for the past 30 years, in Lynbrook, Nassau County, New York in partnership and in his own office, the firm has offices in Lynbrook and Huntington, Suffolk County, NY.

Mr. Hafner is a member of the New York State and Nassau County Bar Associations and of the Elderlaw and Trusts and Estates sections of each.  Mr. Hafner is a co-chair of the Nassau County Bar Association Senior Lawyers Committee. Mr. Hafner has been appointed Guardian, Court Evaluator, Counsel for the Alleged Incapacitated Person and Counsel for the Guardian by the Supreme Courts in Nassau and Queens Counties and as Guardian Ad Litem by the Nassau County Surrogate’s Court.

Mr. Hafner has been admitted to practice since 1974 in the State of New York, the Federal District Courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the Courts of Appeal for the Second and DC Circuits and the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Hafner received B.S. (1968) and J.D. (1973) degrees from St. John’s University.
